I forgot how tired one gets during pregnancy. When I was so sick a month ago, I attributed my fatigue to being so ill. Now I know the reason why. Anyhow, yesterday after a full day of normal stuff, plus volunteering at the school with the musical, I was completely beat. I boiled the water for the frozen ravioli, cooked it and then put it on the table and nearly collasped. My kids asked, "where's the sauce". To which I replied, I'm too tired to make it. I didn't have cans of sauce on hand, so they had to make do with butter. Poor kids. They are so deprived. I didn't worry too much because it was 31 cent per scoop day at Baskin Robbins. We filled them with more than there share of ice cream so no one complained about being hungry.
I have to do a 24-hour urine sample so the doctors can get a better picture of my kidney function. This means I have a bright orange jug in my fridge. I had to collect every drop of my urine over the next 24 hours. I'm currently going in a bowl because my stream is not uniform. It sprays all over, so peeing into a cup is very difficult.
Sorry, tmi, but this is my blog after all. I decide what to post. All you have to decide is what to read.
Hey, isn't it wonderful the things that we as mothers have to endure just to bring the babies into this world. I am sorry you're not having an easy time this time. I would gladly help anyway that I could, but it would get mighty expensive to come help babysit. Hope you are doing better.
ReplyDeleteI'm doing fine, really I am. It's just that lupus can affect the kidneys. I've been very lucky not to have that problem, but the doctors wanted to just get a full picture of what my kidneys are doing. That's why they ordered the test.
ReplyDeleteThe fatigue is just par for the course. How did you manage?
